At the end of Jan 2018, my grandfather died suddenly, and I was right beside him at that time. This is the first time I have experienced a complete death process. Later, I found his diary in his room which recorded his past journeys from his northern birthplace all the way to the present city Wuxi(China mainland). Along his journey, I found the huge changes in these places and cities. I shot them. On my return journey, I found that some of the demolished buildings had become materials for musical instruments. Music as an invisible space and architecture has been loaded into the new memory of modern people. I combined my understanding of traditional music, performance, and this experience to re-narrate this journey. Please click on the left picture to watch the video.
